Services > Internal Communications
The term "internal communications" sums up the focus of our business, across all the different strands. However, it also is used across the world to refer to the particular issues of communication and engagement between the management of a firm and the employees. We offer a number of services in this traditional area for "Internal Communications:"
Communications Audits
- "Communications Audits" are a measurement tool, using surveys and interview tools to assess the state of general communications in the organisation.
- They are particularly valuable for assessing the understanding that employees have of elements of management objectives (e.g. the strategy of the company) or the reasons and value of particular iniatives (particularly change programs.)
- Audits are essential to evaluating the value gained from implementing a communications plan.
- Our unique skillset allows us to assess the faultlines between different cultures in the organisation, as well as the overall communications picture.
Communications Plans
- A common purpose for a "communication plan" is to address employee concerns or areas where employees are underinformed, highlighted in a recent audit.
- Another use is to promote a new plan or the benefits of a substantial business change program, to lessen resistance and improve engagement.
- We can produce project plans (using PRINCE2 methodology) for improving significant aspects of internal communications, or to promote a specific change project, encompassing an understanding of both human and technological solutions.
Implementation
Any plan requires a number of different activities to bring it to fruition. We can provide support and advice in the following areas:
- Workshop and group meeting facilitation
- Process design
- Plan documentation
- Individual coaching
- Feedback measurement and documentation
- Communications materials (websites, newsletters, sound bulletins, videos, etc.)
